Pro Tips for India
Gestures Matter
When saying "Namaste", bring your palms together at your chest. When saying "Mera naam" (My name), it is common to place your right hand gently on your chest rather than pointing at yourself with a finger.
Avoid "Tum"
When introducing yourself to elders or professionals, always use Aap (Formal You). Never ask an elder "Tum kaise ho?" (How are you? - Informal). Instead ask "Aap kaise hain?".
